The fine print, in daylight

1. What NoMo is, and who provides it

NoMo is a focus timer for iPhone. Quiet sessions earn experience, levels, and animal friends on a small island. It is a tool with a game inside it, not medical or professional advice. If focus is a serious struggle, a human professional beats an app every time.

NoMo is made and provided by Gleb Suchkov Kalmykov, an individual established in Spain, trading as NoMo. You can reach a person at hello@nomoinc.co, and that is the address to use for anything in these terms. Our full registration details are available on request there.

"We" and "us" in these terms mean that person. NoMo is one person, not a company: "nomoinc.co" is a domain name and does not mean an incorporated company exists. If one is ever formed, we will update this page and the privacy policy to name it before anything else changes.

Apple sells the app and any purchases to you as merchant of record. Your payment contract for the transaction is with Apple, while this agreement covers your use of the app itself.

2. Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old to use NoMo. If you're under 18, use it with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

3. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use NoMo on Apple devices you own or control. NoMo uses Apple's standard licensed application end-user licence agreement, which also applies to your use of the app. Where it and this page differ on licensing terms, Apple's agreement wins.

The app, its code, its islands, and its writing belong to NoMo. The animal models are from Kenney's CC0 asset packs; our arrangements, compositions, and everything else are ours. Please don't rip, resell, or rebadge the app.

4. Your account

You don't need an account. The timer, all five islands, all twenty-four animals and all twenty-seven levels work with no sign-in at all.

If you do create one, it's yours to look after: keep your credentials to yourself, tell us at hello@nomoinc.co if someone else gets into it, and expect that what happens under it is treated as done by you. You can delete the account and everything in it at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Deleting it removes your synced progress permanently; it does not cancel an App Store subscription, which you cancel through Apple.

5. Purchases

NoMo can be used for free with the focus timer, XP and levels, all five islands, all twenty-four companions, coins earned by focusing, collection progression, and in-session app blocking. Premium adds website blocking, every focus scene and ambient sound, full analytics, Field Notes, Quiet Hours, and streak repair.

Premium is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or the one-time Founder purchase. Each paid option unlocks the same Premium feature set. Paid plans do not multiply XP or ongoing coin earnings.

The exact price, currency, taxes, billing period and any introductory-offer eligibility are shown by the App Store before you confirm. The App Store display controls if anything elsewhere differs.

Introductory offers. If Apple determines that your account is eligible for an introductory offer, the App Store purchase sheet will show its duration and the amount charged afterwards before confirmation. Eligibility is controlled by Apple and is generally limited to one introductory offer per subscription group.

How subscriptions renew and how to stop them. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Apple charges and manages the subscription through your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings under your name and Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and does not remove earned companions or islands.

If a price changes. If a subscription price changes, Apple will notify you using the process required for your storefront. Some increases require your consent before renewal; others may take effect after Apple gives notice. Founder. Founder is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the same Premium feature set without recurring subscription charges for as long as NoMo continues to provide the app. It is restorable on devices using the same Apple Account, subject to Apple's purchase-restoration rules.

6. Refunds

All purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue App Store refunds ourselves, but if something went wrong, tell us and we'll do everything on our side to make it right.

If you're in the EU, the statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase is part of the sale Apple makes to you, and Apple administers it through the same form. None of this affects the rights consumer law gives you where you live, which we don't try to sign away anywhere on this page.

7. Coins and virtual items

Coins, scenes, friends, and gilded forms are entertainment inside the app. They have no cash value, can't be traded or transferred, and exist only as long as NoMo does. Coins are earned by focusing and cannot be bought. The app sells no in-app currency. We may adjust prices or rewards inside the game to keep it balanced, and we'll do so with a light hand.

8. Screen Time

NoMo can block apps and websites you choose, using Apple's Screen Time API, for as long as a session or a Quiet Hours window is running. You grant that permission yourself and can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings, which releases everything immediately. We never receive a list of your apps and we never take that permission as licence to do anything beyond blocking what you picked. See the privacy policy for the detail.

What blocking is, and what it isn't. You choose what gets blocked, and you are responsible for that choice. NoMo does not block phone calls, SMS, or emergency services, and it is not a safety device: don't rely on it to reach you or to let something reach you. A shield can also be ended at any time, by ending the session or turning the permission off. Treat it as a door you asked us to hold shut, not a lock you can't open.

We can't promise a block will always hold. Apple's Screen Time framework does the actual blocking, and iOS updates, permission changes, low-power states, and Apple's own bugs can all affect it. If a block fails, what you do with your own phone during that time remains yours.

9. Fair use

Don't attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or defraud the app or its purchase system, and don't use it in any unlawful way. That's the whole list.

10. Warranty and liability

NoMo is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it stable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

• What you miss. Anything you didn't see, answer, or do because you chose to block it, or because a block didn't work as expected.
• Progress you didn't back up. Without an account your data lives only on your phone. If the phone is lost, reset, or the app deleted, that progress is gone and we have no copy to restore. Signing in is how you avoid this.
• Other people's outages. Apple, the App Store, push notifications, and our hosting provider are outside our control.
• Indirect losses, meaning lost work, lost profit, lost time, or knock-on effects of any of the above.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

None of this applies where the law doesn't allow it. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded, and nothing here removes the rights consumer law in your country gives you regardless of what a page like this says.

NoMo is not health or medical advice. It is a timer with a game attached. It does not treat, diagnose, or manage any condition, and it is no substitute for a professional if you need one.

11. Ending things

You can stop using NoMo anytime by deleting it. We may suspend access for serious breaches of section 9. If we ever have to shut the app down entirely, we'll give as much notice as we possibly can inside the app.

12. Apple

You and we agree that:

• these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for NoMo or its contents;
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for NoMo;
• if NoMo fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation at all;
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim about NoMo, including product liability, legal compliance, or consumer protection claims;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. The rest of the small print

• If one part fails, the rest stands. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and everything else keeps working.
• Not enforcing something isn't giving it up. If we let a breach go, we haven't waived the right to act on the next one.
• This is the agreement. These terms and the privacy policy, together with Apple's standard EULA and App Store terms, are the whole of what's between us about NoMo. Nothing said on a landing page, in a review, or on social media adds to it.
• We may hand it on. If NoMo is ever transferred to a company or another owner, these terms go with it, unchanged, and we'll say so in the app. You can't transfer your side of it to someone else.
• Things outside anyone's control. We're not in breach of these terms for a delay or failure caused by something we couldn't reasonably control.

14. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll flag it in the app before the change applies. Continued use after that means acceptance. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

15. Contact and governing law

Questions about these terms go to hello@nomoinc.co. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live. If you live in the EU, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own country, and to complain to the consumer authorities there. Writing to us first is usually faster than any of that.
